Territorial Domains(Also called geographic domains)
The domains are maintained by each country. These territorial domains are used by organizations and companies wishing to establish themselves on the Internet and protect the identity of your brand or trade name in a particular country. The territorial domains are terminated composed of 2 letters.
In Mexico, the competent authority for registration of territorial domains with country code ".MX" is Registry .MX, is the division of NIC Mexico, in charge of territorial administration of .MX domain name (ccTLD country code Top Level Domain); two-letter code assigned to each country, according to ISO 3166, in this case Mexico.
The main functions of the Registry .MX are providing information services and registration for .MX domain names, as well as maintaining the respective database.
